Bishop Anthony Gilmore
Bishop Gilmore attended Nyack College, earning a bachelor’s degree in business. He received a master’s degree in elementary and special education and a postgraduate degree in reading, language and cognition from Hofstra University. The NYC Department of Education awarded Bishop Gilmore a full scholarship to Bank Street College of Education, earning a master’s degree in supervision and administration. As an educator for over 30 years, he served as a licensed and certified teacher and assistant principal, retiring from the Prince George’s County, MD’s school system in June 2022. Bishop Gilmore received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in theology from Northeastern Seminary and the United Christian College. He published a sixty-day devotional, “Manna from Heaven for Today.”
Bishop Gilmore became pastor of Holy Temple UHCA, Newburgh, NY in 1991 and pastor of St. Rose Pentecostal Church (UHCA), Washington, DC in August 2005, now the Kingdom of Faith, United Holy Church of America (2018).
In the Northern District he served as Superintendent of the Bible Church School (UHCA) and as Eastern New York Subdistrict BCS Superintendent and YPHA 2nd VP.
In 1996, the late Bishop Kenneth O. Robinson appointed him as a District Elder. In 2017, Bishop Kenneth White, President of the Northern District Convocation, appointed him Chairman of the Board of District Elders. In June 2021, he was appointed Administrative Assistant of the Northern District and consecrated Bishop May 2022.
