Pastor Darnell Harper accepted the unspeakable gift of salvation over thirty-five years ago.

Pastor Harper has labored in various ministries of his local church, and on the District and National levels of the United Holy Church. His passion is for the lost to be converted to Christ, and for God’s people to live out the plan and purpose of God. He served as the President of the Evangelistic Ministry, planning and overseeing outreach for the local church. Currently he serves as the president of the Northern District Evangelism Department.

Pastor Harper attended the Christian Collegiate Bible Institute, the Manhattan Bible Institute, (NYC) and Hugee Theological Seminary, Brooklyn, NY. For the past ten years, Pastor Darnell Harper has served as Pastor of New Covenant Temple Church, West Harlem. Prior to this assignment, he and his wife, Minister Shelly Harper, served at Soul Saving Station for twenty-five years, collectively serving in ministry for 35 years in West Harlem.

Pastor Harper is the Chair of West Harlem Empowerment Coalition, promoting community partnership and connects families with needed resources. As a clergy liaison with the 30th PCT, he fosters community/police relations.

Elder has been married for thirty-six years to his lovely wife, Minister Shelly Harper. They are proud parents of four wonderful children: Dominique (Wil), Sariah, Daniel, and Steven and have one grandson, Destin.
